Harry White, Professor of Music at University College Dublin and a Fellow of the Royal Irish Academy of Music, has written an article for the Independent.IE on Sir Arnold Bax’s meeting with Patrick Pearse, who was executed 100 years ago during the Easter Rising. Pearse’s death devastated Arnold Bax and he wrote several pieces in memory of the martyr including “In Memoriam Patrick Pearse”.
